Hi!

This is my first post on the forums, so I want to thank everybody for the great information on the site, and helping me making the jump into hackintosh.
Ive been reading a lot, and I'm pretty sure it will work, but just to make sure.
Can someone please help me to final check?

It's Dutch, but I don't think that is a problem for a quick check.

Thanks in advanced! :D

ps, the build will be used for video content creation.

We are not recommending Ivy Bridge CPUs and Intel 7th Series motherboards at the moment.

Hi guys!

Thanks a lot for taking the time to look at it, :D

I will probably go for a 2600K then.

Just two question though,
The motherboard is a Gigabit z77, just 'recommended' on the blog today.
Or should I go with a recommended z68.

And a finally,
I prefer an nVidia graphics card, because of cuda and physx. (but this is not a must)
Whats the best choice for Hackintosh. a nVidia 560ti or the Radeon HD 6870.

I will be using 2 monitors btw, mainly for aftereffects, final cut, resolve, cinema4d.

Thanks again!

As long as you understand what's required, I wouldn't be afraid to go with a z77 + ivy build. Kind of depends on your level of experience. nVidia is best choice based on your stated usage.

You might also want to check your dimensions on the CPU fan and your RAM. I know the vengeance is what I have in my build and it sticks up pretty high, which is why I bought the H60 liquid cooler. Someone with experience on that fan might give you better advice though.

You have to read it again... tony mentioned that they not recommend it!

I will need to read a little more about ivy and z77.
This is my first Hackintosh, so I'm pretty much unexperienced.
Will it be a lot harder to get it to work with the z77/ivy? or is it 'possible' for a noob.

Also thanks for the headsup of the dimensions.
Need to check that one also. ;)

Hi again!

Sorry Mate94, I've missed your reply.
Then I will go for the z68 2600K combo, also because it's my first build.
Thanks ;)

Only thing I'm not 100% about is witch video card I should choose.
nVidia 560ti or Radeon HD 6870

I;ve read a lot about that the nVidia cards are still not 100% working with lag etc.
is this true?

The most apps I will use are utelising more and more openCL, so Cuda is not a "must".
I will use 2 monitors and I prefer 2x Dvi.

Thanks again for answering my noobisch questions.
But I only want to make sure before I'll take the dive ;)

I have never experienced lag w/ nvidia cards. I think both 6870 and GTX 560Ti are fine.
