I have never built even a pc before never mind a hackintosh. I am 17 and in the top 10% by exam results at my school so it's not really whether i am going to understand what to do, but if i am likely to 'break' the bios etc , please just tell me if this is going to be too hard.If not, can You please check my parts.

MOBO: either: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3
or
Gigabyte SKT-1155 Z68XP-UD3P
whats the difference?

CPU: either: intel core i5 2500k 3.3Ghz
or
intel core i5 2550k 3.4ghz
are they both compatible?(i plan to overclock)

Ram: G.Skill Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1333 Memory, compatible?

Graphics card: MSI Radeon HD 6850 1GB Video Card
is this compatible?

Power supply: OCZ 650W ATX12V Power Supply

Hard drive(s): Corsair Force Series 3 60GB 2.5" Solid State Disk
and *an old 120gb hard drive from my ps3 gaming system, will this work or should i avoid since it is around 4 years old now?

Case: Cooler Master Elite 335 Upgraded ATX Mid Tower Case
again is this compatible for the time being?

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could direct me in the right direction and explain what need be.
thanks in advance :)

Nooby Noobster.

You have done your homework.

Your build should be compatible. The CPU choices will work, the motherboards will work (their difference mainly is the number of video ports at the back, the UD3P has only a HDMI port while the UD3H has DisplayPort / DVI / HDMI / VGA. But if you are not using the CPU graphics then they are irrelevant to you.) and the video card should also work.

I would say it is ready to go.

Everything looks good to me.
You should go with the UD3H and the 2500K. Because lot of users use it with complacence.
The 2500K has IGP which is good because if the the graphics card will go out, you can work with the machine further.

Off: My grades are all A.  But who cares about it...
