NoFilmSchool.com has a Hackintosh guide that is really, really indepth. I'm not affiliated with NoFilmSchool.com, so if there are affiliate links below, they're not mine and I'm too exhausted at the moment to hunt them all down and remove them.

My goal is the same as what the article states. Being able to do film stuff, FCP, CS5, etc. What do you guys think? Would you change any of these parts?

PARTS:

Gigabyte LGA1366 SATA3 ATI CrossFireX ATX Motherboard GA-X58A-UD3R
Corsair HX3X12G1600C9 XMS3 12 GB PC3-12800 1600Mhz 240-pin Triple Channel Core i7 DDR3
Antec P183 Advanced Super Mid Tower Shell Case
Antec CP-850 850 Watt CPX Power Supply Unit
LG Electronics 10X Blu-ray SATA Writer Drive with Software WH10LS30K - Bulk (Black)

Samsung 1 TB Spinpoint 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA

For the graphics he recommends either the GTX 460, GTX 465, GTX 470, GTX 480, or GTX 580.

=====

Okay, I think that's it. If you have any recommendations on how to make this setup faster/more stable/better, please let me know.

I have nearly the same build except:

Case - Coolermaster Pure Cosmos 1000K
Graphics - Gigabyte Radeon 5870
Processor - Intel i7 950
SSD - OCZ Vertex 2 3.5" 120 GB

Running Snow Leopard in 64 bit mode.

Working with FCS (mostly Motion) and CS5.
