After succesfully installing yosemite over mavericks, in order to keep all files etc. wireless is the only thing that isnt working yet. I've got this grey wifi sign in the menu bar saying "Wifi: no hardware installed".
I've tried kext enabler, plist edit and ssdt enabler. All of those make no difference. That leaves only the dsdt edit, but im not very good at editing the patch for my specific device. Any thoughts?
What WiFi hardware do you have? (vendor/device-id).
Vendor id: 14e4
device id: 4353
It is supported. Read here: http://www.tonymacx86.com/network/104850-guide-airport-pcie-half-mini-v2.html
Seems that some with supported BCM cards are needing to switch to MacBookAir smbios. It is probably possible to use a patch for the binary too, but that would require one to be created.
Well, i've been using this smbios for quite a while now. Wifi worked with mavericks and the same smbios.
I will try an MBAir smbios just to confirm.
After updating the smbios to the MacBook air version I get the following screen at reboot
