For that, as indicated in the title I am unable to make my sound to work (actually, since I left efi-x, I have not had).

Currently I have two OSX installed.

Mavericks 10.9.5 with clover. AppleHDA patched script Toleda (Toleda thank you, and my friend Teti by spending the patched file)

Yosemite 10.0 with chimera. No sound, and even though I try to patch not working, Realtek ALC889 chipset and as much as I try to follow the instructions Toleda, to patch, I can not make it work.

Beg aid a user that has that chipset and have sound enabled and running, pass me the patched file.

A billion thanks.

Lot ot thanks.

Can you explain me if you did anything to patched the kext?

I installed applehda.kext with kext wizzard, repaired permisions and reboot the system. Results... No sound.

Los of thanks anyway.

Make sure you have "<string>kext-dev-mode=1</string>" under kernel flags in org.chameleon.Boot.

Thanks so much for posting this. Your fix solved my issue of missing midi setups with ALC892.

Currently I have this in chameleon.boot.plist

<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GenerateCStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>GeneratePStates</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>HDAEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>HDEFLayoutID</key>
<string>01000000</string>
<key>IGPEnabler</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Kernel Flags</key>
<string>-f</string>
<key>Legacy Logo</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>Timeout</key>
<string>3</string>
<key>UseKernelCache</key>
<string>Yes</string>

I would add the line you indicated to me after this, rebooting the system and checking again have sound.
Is there something wrong in my chamaleon.boot.plist?

Yes, it's missing this at the end, put it right underneath that last entry:

<string>kext-dev-mode=1</string>

No sound....

I don't know what can I do to have sound with this chipset.....

Sorry that AppleHDA isn't working for you, I was certain it would as our motherboards are closely related. You're sure (i don't know how much you know so I have to ask) that in the "output" tab under sound there isn't "internal speakers" or "digital out" or "line out"?

Voodoo audio drivers in Multibeast may work but I've never had to try them before. Hopefully a fix that is integrated into Multibeast is coming soon as there are quite a few users who are not getting audio right now.

Good luck!
