No sound and some weird behaviours after restart

System (10.8.5) has been stable for nearly 2 years. I usually avoid to ''restart'' on this CustomMac, as I have had some bad behaviours once or twice (especially last Security update - which is not the case now).

As I had issues after updating a Steinberg Cubase Pro 8 to latest update, I wanted to try to ''restart'' system... But now, I face the following issues;

- no sound (from system - and to ''speaker icon'' )...
- If I launch my external audio interface, it looks like the drivers haven't loaded - since it remains with its red signal (RME Fireface 800)
- In Audio and Midi setup (utilities), I don't even see the system's speaker... I get ''Airplay'', ''Adobe After Effects'' (totally irrelevant !!...)
- If I try to launch LaunchPad, it also behaves weirdly : bringing up slowly, larger icons, and scrolling pages goes weirdly too...
- Humm... noticed I have one or two internal drives not showing but they're DATA only... - and they're NTFS drives (usually mounted through Tuxera...)

... And about the last ''Hummm'', here's an update: I tried to mount the drive under disk utility and got the following message:

Ok thanks everyone... Found my solution. For those ever experimenting this issue, just ''restarting'' the machine might not be enough. In my case, after realizing I was entering SAFE MODE, I solved it simply by completely shutting down the machine, then Booting from cold a few seconds later.
