Hello,

I have an issue with my new hackintosh. When I started it, sometimes I don't have any IP address. I have to restart the computer and all is working.

After that, I don't loose the connection to the network, all is working fine.

My motherboard is Gigabyte Z87X-D3H (Intel[SUP]®[/SUP] GbE LAN chip (10/100/1000 Mbit)) with an i7-4770K processor, more info here. I installed the default network drivers, for intel card, that i found in multibeast 6.0.0.

I precise that this issue doesn't occure from Windows 8.1 booting (or maybe I haven't still got the issue with it)

I search on this forum and found a few people that were loosing the connection after a while but not at startutp like. I tried to follow their advices and I installed a previous version of the drivers that i found in multibeast 5.x (arrount 5.2) but it "kill" my computer. I had to delete my driver manually (from my Windows Part) to restart the computer what solved the issue. I reinstalled the drivers from multibeast 6.0.0.0 (and my network issu come again).

Does somebody has an idea about how to solve my netpwork issue?

1. make sure you have this in the /extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>

2. install the appleintele1000 kext from the mavericks multi beast

3. Repair your permissions
$ diskutil repairpermissions /

3a.
IF you don't want to do a full repair then
ensure you have proper permissions on the Extensions folder

$ sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions
$ sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions

4. rebuild the kernel cache:

$ sudo touch /System/Library/Extensions

5. reboot - this will ensure the kernel loads the intel kext

6.
- delete all Ethernet interfaces in system preferences/network pane
- delete Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/Networkinterfaces.plist and com.apple.network.identification.plist (optional)
- reboot
- add back the ethernet interface that you deleted in system preferences/network and configure it (DHCP)
- wait a few seconds for Eth interface to initialize

that worked for me

Hi,

I tried that but once I'd deleted the Ethernet interface in system preferences I couldn't recover any version of it. Can I import a Ethernet interface from anywhere or do I need to do a clean install of mavericks? I also have a wifi card that is not appearing in my PCI devices section of System Information.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am having the same issue, please post a solution to try.

This happens to me as well on a X79-UD5 board.

I am looking for a fix. The same issues sometime happen in 10.8.5 as well and I just Pull the Ethernet connector and plug it back in a few times and the problem is resolved....but I would like it to be fixed. for good. thank guys

I have upgraded my BIOS to the F8 version but i still have the same issue.

I tried to activate the WakeOnLan to see if it solve the issue. I will post here the result ^^ of my investigation.
