Hey Guys

since I have no experience in putting together a Hackintosh
I would really appreciate any advice you could give me concerning my
following speculative build:

CPU
Core i5 760
MB
Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 MicroATX
RAM
Kingston Kit 4GB PC3-8500U CL7 (DDR3-1066)
Power
Seasonic S12II-330Bronze 330W
Graphics
Gainward 9800 GT Green Edition, 1024MB or better HD5770?
SSD
OCZ Vertex 2 Extended 60GB, 2.5", SATA II
HDD
1TB Western Digital
WLAN
D-Link AirPlusG+ DWL-G122
CPU Cooling
Mugen 2
DVD
cheapest SATA DVD Drive

Will this work and do you have any advice for dual booting it with Windows 7 Professional?

Hope you guys can help. Thank you very much.

Seems fine.
I had 9800GT Green from Gainward, now 5770, both fine!

Personally no epxerience with SSD and WiFi.

Edit: I use Win 7 64bit in Parallels 6

Thanks a lot

I just came up with the idea to buy a USB3 Board (you know - being ready for the future :D )
Would you recommend it or is it way more complicated and just not worth the effort?

USB3 on my board works without any effort. The latest MultiBeast has the kext for USB3.

Unless you purchase a Sony or Pioneer DVD you will have issues with Auto-Sleep.

thanks guys

will try to go with GA-H55M-USB3 and a Sony drive.
Still thinking about graphics - I want my build to be as silent as possible and the Gigabyte HD5770 passive card is still quite expensive. Aren't there any cheaper options? Vapor-X costs the same as the Gigabyte...

EDIT:
Well I think I made up my mind and will buy the following items:
CPU
Core i5 760
MB
Gigabyte GA-H55M-USB3 MicroATX
RAM
2x2GB Ripjaw CL7 DDR3
Power
Be quiet! E8 400W
Graphics
Asus 8400GS silent 256MB
SSD
OCZ Vertex 2 Extended 60GB, 2.5", SATA II
HDD
1TB Western Digital
WLAN
guess I will go with an integrated one and use the how to in this forum
only thing is I still have a BCM4311KFBG (Dell DW1390) Card I hope is gonna work that way
CPU Cooling
Mugen 2
DVD
Optiarc 7260S
Case
NZXT Vulcan

Hopefully this will result in an easy to set up Hackintosh and a near silent one at that

If I should make any changes please speak now as I probably will buy this stuff later today

Thanks in advance
