CMOS resets to be expected without patched ACPI.
There is only a single phase in a re-install.
So i need to change a file in my usb uploader?
if yes, would u be so kind to tell me where i can get it?
and where/how shall i copy it in my usb?
tx much!
I wish i could but cmos checksum error happens at the end of phase 2 of installation.
then system reboots.
Hi !
Thanks very much again for your help
I now have El Capitan up and running stable on my HP Elitebook 820 G1.
Remaining Issues =>
1/ USB : I have 3 USB 3.0 ports on the laptop / only the 1 located on the left side of the computer works / the 2 others dont work at all.
2/ Wifi/Bluetooth : Since the Half PCI Wifi card originally mounted on the laptop is not compatible, I ordered a new one from Ebay =>
[h=1]867Mbps Broadcom BCM4352 BCM94352HMB Wifi+BT Mini PCI-E 802.11ac 2.4+5Ghz ABG/N[/h]
If I correctly understood, this one is comptable but won't run "out of the box" => some set up needs to be done, right?
...
The only remaining "problem" I have is when I close the lid or the laptop goes into sleep mode and wake it then sits with this flashing pixels almost, want to say distorted screen but is not really as I can still work on it, but if you look closely the image/pixels are flashing, when restarting it is fine again but as soon as it is awake from sleep mode is when it happens.

iMessage also still needs some work in working.
