Hi Toleda,

Thanks for getting back to me on this. Please find the missing information in the archive attached here.

Console/All Messages is not helpful
Not helpful as in there is no info or as in you did not give me what I expected ? :)

debug.log is missing
Now attached together with the bootlog

Audio codec is disabled, verify BIOS/Peripherals/Audio Controller/Enabled
Checked and enabled, see screenshot

Thanks again for looking into this. Much appreciated
Chris

Hey me again,

I checked the debug file I just sent you and only found traces of the GTX 770. So I trashed the file, enabled debug and restarted the Mac.

No file is being populated on the misc folder... like debug is not working.

Any idea?

Regards
Chris

debug log and boot log are the same.
The problem with Console/All Messages is one message in file. OS X emits hundreds of messages during boot.

I'm in a trial and error fight for weeks now with my audio hardware and am now out of ideas to try. I guess it would already be good to know if it can be achieved with available solutions at all.

Thank you very much... So just to confirm, I need to go into my org.chameleon.Boot.plist file and add the text:

kext-dev-mode=1

?

or is there a special way to add the text with open/close tags, etc?

Ignored previous reply.
Go to Post #1. Look at the line after: 2. Chimera..../Mandatory Add: Kernel Flags/kext-dev-mode=1
What does it say?

Codec is not 888, try 887 with Legacy patch

Not correct:
Code:
Supported RealtekALC codecs: 885, 887, 888, 889, 892, 898 or 1150
Enter codec: 888
ALC888 v_ not supported
Use Legacy (v100202) Patch (y/n): y

Thanks for your response, toleda. I intended to follow your advice, so I reinstalled OS X but (more or less accidentally) enabled Clover "FixIPIC". I don't see a possible connection of this flag to the audio chipset from the Clover Wiki but it definitely helps me to get a healthy looking DPCIManager screen.

Is 887 still the way to go now?

Edit: After further playing around with the Clover DSDT fixes I realized that for my case FixHPET_0010 and FixIPIC_0040 do both have to be enabled to get the proper codec shown in DPCIManager. Since IPCI is documented as "helps with a non working Power button" and HPET as "obligatory for OSX <= 10.8, Mavericks can work without it" I had them disabled until now.
