3. Multibeast selections: screenshot attached
macOS does not support 100 Series Audio; result, no audio.
Fix:
Mount EFI partiton
MultiBeast 9+ > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC887/888b
plus √ 100 Series Audio

Not helpful, attach the terminal output.
Here, it completed successfully, but rear audio devices are still not visible.

Same as Post #2684. There is a bad kext or dsdt/ssdt installed, no idea where or what.
Clean install is last resort.

Thanks for all your help! I'll let you know, if I ever fix it.

Hey! I followed your instructions in the next thread, and everything works now! Thanks so much for your help. I knew I was just missing something silly, haha.

I had my sound working for over a month fine since my installation of hackintosh. I installed some stupid Movavi screen capture program and it installed Movavi Sound capture as device and removed my old device that worked fine. I uninstalled stupid program but I still don't have any input device.

I tried running Multibeast in order to install my drivers but installation fails every time:
02/05/17 13:14:08 - Starting MultiBeast 9.0.1-20161010

02/05/17 13:14:30 - Mounting EFI

02/05/17 13:14:30 - Installing 'Drivers > Audio > Realtek ALCxxx > ALC898'

02/05/17 13:14:32 - Install of '/Applications/MultiBeast.app/Contents/Resources/Clover-ALC898.pkg' failed.
'installer: Package name is Clover ALC898
installer: Upgrading at base path /
installer: The upgrade failed (The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance.)
'. Exiting.

And this is where strange thing happens. When I run audio_codecdetect.command_v2.1 this is the output I get:
HDMI audio codec(s)

Onboard audio codec
Realtek: 0x10ec0899

OS X/10.12.2 Onboard Audio
Device: HDEF@1B
Audio ID: 1

Valid audio codec, audio device and Audio ID; audio injection is working

My specs:
MBO: P8Z77-V Deluxe
CPU: i7 2700k
GPU: GTX 960
RAM: 32GB Corsair Vengeance

I also tried removing AppleHDA.kext (attached) so I can install a new one but OS wont let me delete it. I can't figure out what's going on.

Also If I go to About this Mac and system report I can actually see my output devices. (Screenshot below)

But when I go to settings there are no output/input devices.

Best choice is MultiBeast.
Mount EFI Partition (actual problem)
MultiBeast 9+ > Drivers > Audio > RealtekALCxxx √ ALC887/888b
Restart and reply with new files.

Thanks for the reply toleda! I mounted EFI, installed multibeast audio drivers RealtekALCxxx √ ALC887/888b, and restarted. Still no sound, here are new files. I still could not find kernel Sound Assertion message in console.
