It's fixed. Thats all it took. I deleted AppleHDA1150 from both /S/L/E and /L/E. Restarted and it's working. Anyway to delete these files automatically using your scripts? You fixed my issue in 1 sec while I spent 6+ hours last night till 4am trying to figure it out. THANK YOU!!!

No, impossible to anticipate every user's incorrect installation procedure.
Main AppleHDA audio thread describes what is done and how to undue.
See Realtek ALC AppleHDA/Post #1:
a. II. Realtek ALC AppleHDA Scripts
b. Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA

Yup. I followed those instructions last night. The instructions doesn't say anything about deleting AppleHDAxxx.kext. It says to delete AppleHDA.kext which I did ( I actually moved it to the desktop ) which caused me to loose video on reboot. Had to mess with video settings on clover boot screen to get back in and move those files back. Maybe the instructions weren't clear to me. Your reply was very clear and worked. Thank you.

Just did a clean build to 10.2.2

  1. AppleHDA.kext can be the same as or earlier than the installed OS X version
  2. AppleHDA.kext does not work if newer than the installed OS X version
  3. Verify AppleHDA.kext version and codec name

instructions doesn't say anything about deleting AppleHDAxxx.kext
Is delete different from remove?
Link above/Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA
"3. pikeralphaALC, remove:
  1. L/E/AppleHDAxxx.kext
  2. config.plist/.../KextsToPatch/AppleHDA (2x)"
...

"5. pikeralpha AppleHDA8Series, remove:
  1. S/L/E/AppleHDAxxx.kext"

There can be only one instance of AppleHDA.kext in only one place; remove.
Restart, reply with new files.

Missing.
Recommend cloverALC (persistent) over realtekALC (run after each software update)
See Realtek ALC AppleHDA/See Post #1/Uninstall Realtek ALC AppleHDA/4. realtekALC Rename and install: Desktop/audio.../AppleHDA-orig.kext)
Run cloverALC, attach new files

Thanks for the tip!

I was in the process of uninstalling and did these:
config.plist/.../KextsToPatch/AppleHDA (3x)
L/E/realtekALC.kext
and then before I replace the patched AppleHDA with the native one I noticed that the audio started working. so I stopped there and now I am monitoring it to see if it will persist.
