No audio and video freeze after a few seconds

This is the first time I have gotten this board running. My set up is a X58A-UD3R Motherboard, sandisk 240 gb ssd ,GeForce GT 640. I first loaded snow leopard. Then I went to Mountain Lion. I cannot get any audio also the video freezes on you tube after about ten seconds you can drag it forward but it freezes again. I have two other working computers. I am no expert I just read and duplicate what the people on tonymac create. Any help would be great!

I had a system that would freeze up using flash video because I did
not have audio working properly. (the 2 seemed to be related)

I ended up using a cheap USB sound stick/dongel to fix both problems.

Your system definition could also cause problems with your video
(Mac Mini causes problems with dedicated graphics and video playback)

My first suggestion would be to get your audio working.
