Hey guys I have a:

GA-Z87-UG3H
Intel I7-4770K
Onboard Graphics
Monoprice ISP-Zero-G
10.9.2 Running Good (Minus Sleep)

In Fedora Linux, I get the full resolution of the 2560X1440. In OSX though my max resolution is 1920X1080. I've been trying to search and apologize if it was overlooked. How can I get the resolution to show correctly?

Edit:
Alright so I found that with the boot flags I can use:

Code:
    <key>IGPlatformID</key>
    <string>04260000/string>

This allows me to achieve the resolution of 2560X1440. The problem though is that the screen is constantly flickering on and off. Sometimes it will stay off for a couple seconds and come back. I also tried some of the other boot flags from http://www.tonymacx86.com/378-new-intel-hd-graphics-boot-flags-chimera.html

0D220003 - Gives me 1920X1080
04160000 - Gives 2560X1440 but has flicking same as 04260000
04120004 - Would not boot Kernel Panic

I can get the resolution, just not without the flickering and dropping of picture.

I read on the specs for the u3gh motherboard and see I should be able to support these resolutions.

Please help... I keep searching and trying other things in the threads found, but cannot seem to find what is causing this.

I tried using a Rocketfish Displayport to DVI-D with the same boot flags and am unable to boot. If I take out the adaptor and put back in the HDMI to DVI-D, it boots up. Still the 1920X1080 though.

Edited to add information to first post. I've been searching for a day now. Not long, but really would like to get this issue under my belt so I can start working. Any additional information needed, please let me know.

You help and time is much appreciated.

In OS X, 1440p is natively supported with DP; max native HDMI is 1080p. Try SwitchResX.
BTW, the only Desktop Azul framebuffer is 0D220003, all the rest are Laptop.

But gigabyte 8 series mainbaord hdmi is 1.4a, should able to support 2560x1600@60Hz

Could it be the monitor hdmi input do not support this resolution

What did you end up doing? I'm currently having the same problem
