Why do you feel that you need a 1200W PSU? You can probably get away with half that.

I think the Corsair 100 or 105 series may be more appropriate. idkfs, see the review at the end.

I would get the very fastest WiFi possible, which now is around AC1900.

I tend to think that MLC SSDs are better than TLC SSDs; the EVO is TLC and the Pro is MLC.

Since you're going with an i7, DDR4 3200 may be a better choice. If your mobo supports it. That is a big if.

Since the Thermaltake Core V71 Extreme can take 120, 240, 360, 140, 280, or 420mm rads, I'd probably be looking at something in the $200 range, with 240mm being minimum, 360 probably optimum and 420 being overkill. And I would replace any rad fans with Notua fans, at $15 - $22 apiece.

Have you read any reviews on AIOs? There are websites that specialize on just water cooling and they have extensive reviews.

Applying a substantial overclock to the CPU creates a tough battle but H80i GT does an admirable job with the fan speeds set to maximum. The cooler appears to come into its own by stepping above the performance of the best air coolers on the market. Unfortunately, having the fans set to default with such a big overclock only results in high temperatures – which is understandable at just 1400RPM. For this kind of scenario we need at least 1800-2000RPM.

You WILL be able to hear the fans running at those speeds.

And no, I didn't go H2O. I went with a Noctua NH-U14S because I won't be overclocking (and I like quiet) and I went with a Z97 to be able to run faster memory. The same would apply if I had bought a Z170 - I would have gone with 3200 instead of 2133 mem. My price point only allowed DDR3 2400. ymmv.

G.Skill F4-2400C15Q-64GIS is $240 for a 4x16G kit. The BLS4K16G4D240FSE is $10 less and is probably better mem. Go with the Crucial.

I agree with kiiroaka's assessment of the 1200W PSU - to figure out how much power you need, try this power supply calculator. Unless you just want to spend too much on a PSU.

Also, why would you install a PCIe Wifi card and a USB Wifi adapter? You only need one or the other (hint: get a PCIe card!)

One more thing - since the motherboard has M.2 slots that are capable of PCIe x4 SSD support, why not get an M.2 SSD instead of the SATA SSD in your list? It would be MUCH faster; M.2 SSDs cost a little more than SATA, but it would be well worth it. Use the money you save on buying a smaller PSU to upgrade to the faster M.2 SSD ;-) You want a PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, such as the Samsung SM951, Samsung 950 PRO, or OCZ RD400 series.

Thanks so much kiiroaka & nobodynose!
