Just had a thought, I havent mentionned which keyboard I intend to use.

Is there any difference in the architecture of the one I had with the G4 at 1.25 ghz and the most recent ones ?

I'm quite fond of the white and transparent keyboard and would rather spending the money in more RAM and the Graphic Card.
If it has a USB connector it should work. The one in the top pic looks the same as the one I have with the iMac G4 and it works as well as the current version in the lower pic.

I had to stop making some noise on the box and took the opportunity to verify the integrity of the setup.

Everything appears in the bios settings and I'm glad that the Arctic Freezer ventirad is cooling down the processor to 30º.

Eventually I had an opportunity to download Mavericks while away.

The last time that I updated my hardware was with the MacBook Pro in 2007... It means that I have some issues with my existing material and softwares. Amongst those I have a perfectly fine Epson Projector which use VGA plugs and I was gutted with the lack of support for VGA with Mavericks.

The solution which has just been successfully tested is to use a Display Port to VGA converter.

I read as well that my Master collection of Adobe CS3 is unstable under Mavericks, is there any other fix than to upgrade to CS6 as I am not even using all the features in CS3 ?

I managed to install flawlessly Mavericks by following Adamasher's golden build http://www.tonymacx86.com/golden-bu...swell-build-ga-z87x-ud3h-i7-4770k-hd4600.html I cannot stress how much I am grateful to the community for explaining all those fine tunings to make the Hackintosh work.

I wonder if I didnt do something wrong with the setting up of the Bios as I have an overclocked speed for the processor at 3.69 GHz yet the Crucial memory is at 1866 MHz instead of 1333 as displayed.

I have tried to enter the Bios to revert to 3.5 GHz by holding delete at startup but it's only displaying the boot options.

Will I need to reset the motherboard with the black button or am I missing something ?

I had to update with Multibeast the ALC898 sound setting after the 10.9.3 download, I'm not sure if I will keep the software update on at least with the OS version.

Still under Maverick thought I have not used any expansion slot on the Z87X-UD3H and I am now thinking about replacing it with a H97N-wifi to bring back the elements into the SE/30 box.

When I bought the Z87X-UD3H there was some discussions about waiting for the Z97 chip to take more advantage of the i7-4770K processor and that should be the only upgrade of the system.

I have reached a point where I spent too much time without progressing on the wooden case and since I found a second SE/30 I would like to redecorate in a vintage style. I have even bought the ingredients to mix the retrobright paste and getting rid of the yellow hallo that the first case has.
