I build my system back in November and I love it,
I have one problem however, the noise, I bought a fractal design r4 and its going great but my psu is just makes so much noise!
The fan is on 100% of the time and it makes loads of noise,

Can anyone recommend me a silent/quiet power supply that is around the 600-650w range?
I also looked into replacing the fan with noctua but not to confident about doing that and frying my components...

Hope someone can help,

Thanks for the reply!

Hmm seems like a good one indeed, do you know of a cheaper model or will any seasonic psu work nice?
This one is a bit above budget.. 60-70 euro maximum, thats around 80-90 us dollars..

This one is modular and quiet. Costs 89 US dollars right now at Newegg. Amazon UK should carry it too.
Seasonic is the most reliable PSU maker with good warranties.

If that's still over your budget go with this lower priced Corsair model. They're 2nd best to Seasonic imho.

Just a quick update:

moved the power supply the other way around,
I have the ocz modxstream 650w and it says on the box that it has a top mounted fan,
had it positioned with the fan faced down and it now has fan faced up, like inside the case,
this makes it much quiter,

aslo I Moved the pc further away from me,

just quick update on this thread, it saved me some money..
