I've recently created a hackintosh using the Shuttle SZ77R5 and the Intel i7-3770K processor with Mountain Lion (OSx 10.8) and about this mac says that the processor is only running at 1.6GHz. Have I missed something in order to make it run at the proper 3.5GHz? See attached

Anybody got any answers to this one please? My previous responses and replies seem to have disappeared! Cheers

I've set the RAM frequency to be 1600Mhz in the bios and CPU max multiplier to be 42 and installed the i7 over clock ssdt but still 1.6GHz. See attached hwmonitor screen grab. Also notice the v high ambient temperature!

I have indeed - no change

Thank you for the advice.I now have a hackintosh which says it has a 3.49GHz CPU!
Here are the screens of my options I used in the link to Chameleon you attached:

And here is the about screen:

However, I have the same problem, that even though the osx is recognising the higher rate CPU power management seems to have fixed the multiplier to 16x. I ran Geekbench with HWMonitor running and got the following result:

The multiplier in the status bar never got higher than x16.0:

Any suggestions?

Thank you to everyone for your help so far!

Ran latest Multibeast with just i7 SSDT (didn't want to replace current Chameleon which is displaying / registering correct CPU speed) option checked and still not going higher than x16.0 multiplier. My BIOS is all optimised defaults. Could this be the issue? Windows is ok with the cpu and upping the multiplier. The bios is the latest American Megatrends for Shuttle SZ77R5

where can i find nulcpu to delete it?

Thanks!

I guess now I only have 2 concerns:
1. there only appears to be two multiplier states: 16 and 37 is this ok / normal? and
2. The temperature when using Geekbench stress test makes the CPU go up to the 90s yet the fan does not speed up and the heatsink temp does not go above 30 degrees C. Is this safe?

See screens:
During running stress test (note heatsink does not go above 30 degrees celsius) no fan increase in speed:

After running stress test (Temp falling)
