Hey,

First off, I'd like to say this is an awesome community, and I've found a lot of documentation!

Unfortunately, none of it has seemed to solve my particular problem when trying to boot normally.

To keep in mind, mountain lion successfully boots in -x (safe mode)

My setup:
GA-Z77-UD5H (mobo)
i7 3770 (cpu)
GTX 660 (gpu)
8GB RAM

Here is the output of verbose mode:
(sorry it's an image, I don't know how to save this log to text)

Thanks for the response.

I don't think the graphics card is the issue because I've read that as of OS X 10.8.3 GTX 660 should be supported...

I also can't find what you're reffering to for my 10.8.4

The logs seem to say something weird about the audio.

Still not working.
new log picture attached with my progress.
the ending verbose mode was the same before and after the nvidia driver installation. Thanks for the try, but no cigar yet.

I am currently reinstalling osx mountain lion because I feel like after installing camelion I have gone backwards a step.

I always had it with my integrated graphics. So i thought ik could be something with your GPU. Did you disable iGPU in bios?

just disabled internal GPU. nada.

Still stuck on

"Sound assertion in AppleHDACodecGeneric at line 360"

FIXED - SUCCESS

Hey, thanks to this community for being helpful with my initial setups.

Nothing really quite helped me to the T, it was just trial and error until I got things working.

My advice,
"UseKernelCache=No -f" is your friend.

my hardware:
mobo - GA-Z77-UD5H
cpu - i7 3770
gpu - GTX 660 (as of osx 10.8.3 it is automatically supported :) )

After you get things working for safe mode, here is what did it for my setup:

The fix was the AppleHDA very nice. But you should download the cuda drivers!

Unfortunately this did not work for me. I still have the sound assertion errors and cannot boot without the -x switch.
I also tried to verify and repair disk permissions within disk utility as suggested in another thread.
Any further tips that I could try?
