Hi Guys,

I built my hackintosh a month or so ago and even though it was a pain to set up I got it to a point where I was happy how it was performing apart from it used to freeze constantly and I would have to keep resetting it. Then one day I turned it off for about 5 minutes and booted it up again and it never froze again.. Weird I know!
Then all of a sudden one day without changing anything to my computer at all it started again. Now the weird thing is I think its frozen but really anything that is plugged into the USB gets disabled some how. If the screen is on I can see things on the screen still moving like Facebook ads etc etc. So I know the system itself isn't frozen completely but eventually even that stops and the hold system is frozen on the screen. At this stage I was running Mavericks.

I thought a fresh install would do the trick but here I am sitting in front of my newly formatted computer with the new version of Yosemite watching the HWMonitor with nothing else installed and its still freezing. I've put a timer on it and the computer freezes at different intervals so it can't be an auto shutdown after 30 minutes activity or something.

Can anyone help me? Could it be faulty hardware? I've done all I can and I've hit a brick wall!

Thanks in advance.
