New Hackintosh Build - Everything working fine except Ableton 8.3.3

Hi.

I've recently built a machine with the following components.

CPU: Intel Core i7 3.5 GHz Processor (Sandy Bridge)
MOTHERBOARD: Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3-B3 Z68 Socket 1155 7.1 Channel HD Audio ATX Motherboard
DVD RW: Sony Optiarc AD-7280S - DVD±RW (±R DL)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB : 4 x 4 GB Memory - DIMM 240-pin - 1600 MHz ( PC3-12800 )
FIREWIRE CARD: Syba 2 Port 1394B with 1 Port 1394A PCI-Express x1 Card with Low Profile Bracket
GRAPHICS CARD: Asus Ati Radeon Hd6450 Silence 1 Gb Ddr3
HD 1: SanDisk Extreme SSD 240GB SATA 6.0 Gb-s 2.5-Inch Solid State Drive
HD 2: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB - 600 MBps - 7200 rpm
HD 3: Seagate Barracuda 1 TB - 600 MBps - 7200 rpm
CASE: Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced
POWER: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2 Power supply - 650 Watt
CPU COOLER: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 Plus RR-B10-212P-G1
FIREWIRE CARD: Syba 2 Port 1394B with 1 Port 1394A PCI-Express x1 Card with Low Profile Bracket
GRAPHICS CARD: Asus Ati Radeon Hd6450 Silence 1 Gb Ddr3

Everything is working fine except the new updates of Ableton Live.

I have installed Ableton 8 from the disc and it is working fine. Downloaded the most recent update, 8.3.3, from the Ableton website and it won't work. Whenever i try to run it i get an error message saying that Ableton quit unexpectedly and it also gives me a log file. The 8.3.3 update works fine on my Macbook Pro... This is very annoying as a lot of my ongoing projects are done in 8.2.5 and i cannot open them using 8.0.0 because Ableton changed there file format at some point...

Can anyone help me please.

This apparently has something to do with your Graphics card and GraphicsEnabler=Yes.

Seems that the ATI cards are all causing Ableton to crash on start, some people get it working again, some don't.

I have a Sapphire VaporX Radeon 4890 and it just quit working on me when I upgraded to 10.7.4.

I am thinking about just going back to Snow Leopard at this point.

Did you ever get Ableton working? I got a Sapphire HD6450 Silent, it works 100% OOB except for all versions of Ableton crash at startup!

i've the same problem but solved it using the multibeast 5.1.1 with mountain lion 10.8.2

May i ask how multibeast 5.1.1 helped? please im stuck with this issue with simlar components to you

Did you find a solution to this? I am having just the same issue with DVD player & Ableton 9.
I would really appreciate a solution if you have one.

You have to set the ATIConfig= to the appropriate framebuffer for your card.

For my 6450 the line is ATIConfig=Pithecia.

Google for "ATIConfig framebuffer [your card here]"

I am sure you can find a list of framebuffers for your card and experiment with them until you find the one that works.
