UPDATE: I have swapped out the CPU Cooler due to concerns about it covering the PCIe slot. I am now using a Phanteks Ultra Low Profile CPU Cooler with 3x6 mm Embedded Copper Heat-Pipes and PH-F90PWM Premium Fan PH-TC90LS in its place, which should do just fine, and I don't have to use a larger case like the Bit Fenix Prodigy. (which i like, but i want something I can fit in a duffel bag :)

UPDATE: I have now all the parts except the case (SG05BB 450 USB 3.0) and the motherboard (Z77N-WiFi). Will get these soon and build the machine. Will post pics and build stuff when finished!

UPDATE: I am now going to be using an (Ivy Bridge) Intel Xeon E3-1220 v2 processor in place of the (Sandy Bridge) i5-2400. Performance wise this Xeon is much more powerful than this (Sandy Bridge) i5-2400. It is equivalent to an (Ivy Bridge) i5-3450, and it comes within spitting distance of the flagship (Ivy Bridge) i5-3570k at stock clock speeds. Plus some other benefits that I will go over when I post the build when it is complete. Also will be posted will be why I choose the Xeon over the i5-3570k that can be over clocked for a z77 mobo, because I'm sure some of you are curious about that... :) Will be completing the build this month, so stay tuned for the posting of the final build!

Finalized build specs:

CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1220 v2 (Ivy Bridge) 3.1 GHz (Turbo 3.5 GHz)
Mobo: Gigabyte Z77n-WiFi
CPU Cooler: Phantek PH-TC90LS
GPU: Nvidia EVGA GTX 660 or GTX 650 Ti (leaning towards the 660)
Hard Drive: Samsung 500 GB HD*
Memory:8 GB (2 x 4 GB) Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600 MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Memory
SSD: Corsair 32 GB SSD*
WiFi: Atheros 9280 Half-size mini PCI-E card.
Case: SG05BB-450-USB 3.0
Optical Drive: Samsung SN-208BB Slimline Optical Drive
Operating Systems: Mac OS X Mountain Lion and Windows 7 Ultimate
Power Supply: SFX PSU included with the case 450 Watts
Other:
Syba SATA to Mini SATA Cable with Molex Power Adapter (needed for properly connecting ODD to Mobo)
Arctic Silver 5 Thermal Compound (because I like this compound better than the stock compounds included with coolers)

*May be swapped out, upgraded, or removed entirely last minute

Can't wait to post the final build! Hope you guys feel the same!

Sincerely,

-adilworth2014
