Didn't bother with the wireless side of things, would have been a nice bonus...

Hmmm... I was awaiting a success story and breakthrough.

Its a dream to imagine bluetooth/wifi in one card. I am thinking of ordering this module + this apple air card Macbook Air 11.6" 1.4GHz A1370 Airport Bluetooth BCM943224PCIEBT2 607-6759 GLP..

That card has a non standard screw mount, so it won't work, sorry to say

The mini-PCIe adaptors are only that, the BT side of things needs USB connectivity by the looks. I won't know until I get one

you need Mini PCI-E to PCI-E with USB. I use HWTOOLS MP2W Mini PCIe PCI-e adapter

These things are all going to be made in China or Taiwan and most likely by brands you've never heard of.

You'd still need a wlan module, or possibly a wlan + bluetooth module.
I'm using the Atheros 9280 in that adapter + taped on the backside a (A1181 A1226 A1211) module from an old macbook like many people do here.
The spare antenna is connected to the bluetooth module.
The range is just great, the trackpad en wireless keyboard are really responsive.
But indeed, the quality is pretty good and it's the best option to go for wlan.

Did anyone ever found a working bluetooth combo card yet? preferably with sleep working? So far the setup I got works the best, with a possible upgrade to the Atheros 9380 sometime.
