Hi,

I have a Z77-ds3h rev 1.1 ML 10.8.4

I keep getting network drops and loosing my ip address using dhcp. I reboot, it works for a while then network drops and i end up with a 169.x.x.x.

I cant be the only with this problem. All other devices on my network work fine.

This is what i can typically see in the console log

10/06/2013 12:12:10.858 configd[17]: DHCP en0: ARP detect ROUTER failed, arp_client_transmit(en0) failed, Network is down (50)

10/06/2013 16:18:48.632 configd[17]: DHCP en0: RENEW/REBIND transmit failed

10/06/2013 19:49:14.041 configd[17]: network changed: v4(en0-:169.254.134.108) DNS- Proxy- SMB

10/06/2013 21:14:43.128 configd[17]: network changed: v4(en0:192.168.0.100) DNS* Proxy SMB

I have installed via multibeast

ALX Ethernet Driver:

Name: Qualcomm Atheros AR8161 Gigabit Ethernet
Type: Ethernet Controller
Bus: PCI
Vendor ID: 0x1969
Device ID: 0x1091
Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1458
Subsystem ID: 0xe000
Revision ID: 0x0010
Link Width: x1
BSD name: en0
Kext name: ALXEthernet.kext
Location: /System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ALXEthernet.kext
Version: 1.0.2

Please can someone help shed some light on whats going on, I have spent hours trying to fix this issue.

Does anyone have the motherboard z77-ds3h REV 1.1 NIC working stable on ML 10.8.4?

UPDATE: Doing the following works but i really want to resolve this issue.

sudo ifconfig en0 down
sudo ifconfig en0 up

Having the same issue, did you ever find a solution?
