I am a newbie here, and glad you got your BCM wifi adapter working, I have the same Y570 and thinking about doing the wifi upgrade as well, did you do any BIOS mods for it to work after you swap the wifi adapter?

No, I didn't do any mods on bios, I just downloaded unlocked version of my bios and installed it.
