I have a developer account and can provision, deploy to my local phone, and do most other network functions. However I can't connect to the iTunes Store.

I always get a dialog saying "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Sotre. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."

I have an IP and the status is green under Network in SP.

My Build is:
GA-UD2H-B3 F6
16 gig ram
i5-2500 Sandy Bridge CPU
onboard ethernet (realtek i believe)

Mac OS X 1.7 (I tried upgrading to 1.7.2 before but couldn't get it to reboot. If anyone has a link explaining how to better upgrade because the built-in upgrade doesn't see to work I'd greatly appreciate it)

But I'm more interested in why iTunes cannot connect at all. I'm presuming that being a hackintosh is the cause. I'm also more concerned if I'm going to have to use iTunes to deploy my app to the app store.

Thanks,
Will

You can try deleting your networking plist and recreate it again. Make sure en0 is your main ethernet adapter.

Ok I'm tried what seems to be working for other people on this post:

http://tonymacx86.com/viewtopic.php?f=135&t=23153&start=120

1) I ran EFIStudio, Added the Ethernet Device, had it write to com.apple.Boot.plist
2) Put this in the Extra directory org.chameleon.Boot.plist

<string>Yes</string>
<key>EthernetBuiltIn</key>
<string>Yes</string>
<key>device-properties</key>
<string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0100000001010600061c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string>

3) I deleted all my networking devices from the Preferences panel as well as the L/P/SC/Networking.plist file as suggested.

I really don't understand what's actually going on, I'm just trying to get it to. I'd like to, but I know you guys don't have the time for that.

So, what am I doing wrong? I just recreated a network device when I rebooted and I'm back where I started. The 'App Store' app works fine, I can purchase, etc at will. But iTunes for the life of me won't connect to anything.

The error I get is "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes store. The host is down. Make sure your network connection is active and try again" blahblah it's definitely not on their end.

Any of them, Music, Movies, TV shows, all give me a generic error message and to check my internet connection.

Please please help me. I have no clue what else to try

More things to try: (make sure to have a clone backup)

update chimera
update your iTunes version
I don't know about that device properties and long series of numbers but I don't have/use any of that crap.
Try UseKernelCache=Yes
change your network driver (I think your network card is where your problem is.) Which network driver are you using?
do you have Ethernet Built in set to Yes?

Did you check that en0 is your main ethernet adapter?

Other things to try.
Build a "real airport" card and try connecting to iTunes via wi-fi.
