Need to reset CMOS after each shutdown

I installed Sierra semi-successfully - no RX 480 support. I can boot and use system, but when I shutdown, PC won't start at all. I need to rest CMOS, restore settings and only then I can boot again.

Asus Z170M Plus, Skylake 6700K, RX 480

Is there something that can be done to prevent CMOS corruption

Hi,

I have the exact Same issue.
Everything runs fine, even with a soft Reboot, but as soon as my pc has shut down completely i have to uninstall my Graphicscard to reach the mobo battery and Reset the Mainboard.
Not even the switches on the I/O panel to Reset the UEFi do work in this case.

Did you solve the issue?

Yes - and it turned out to be something completely different. I connected GPU to monitors with DP-DP cable. it turned out that connection causes surge protection to kick in. After changing cable to DP-mini DP it started to work correctly.
