Hey all,
Need some help. I built a Customac pro build with parts from both options listed on this page. Im using:
Gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 MB
Intel Core i7-2600K
16GB Corsair 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
Asus CD/DVD Writer
I picked a different case and power supply.
Im using a Corsair 256GB SSD
and my video card is an ATI Radeon HD 6950.
So here goes...
I can get osx 10.6.3 installed without a hitch. Then I install the 10.6.8 Sandy Bridge patch from here, and then 10.6.8. So far, it runs fine except for native video (to be expected). So now, I run Multibeast and this is where the trouble begins. I chose custom DSDT that matches my MB and firmware version. Put that on the desktop. I chose that option, the system utils (repair permissions, etc...) and the bootloader (which there was only one). That installs ok. However, when I reboot, it either boot loops, or just hangs on the apple logo. This is where I'm stuck. Im not sure if it's a hardware issue, or something with the boot loader. I would like to try again, but could use some help.
Thanks!
Mark
