Need help with video input solution

I am looking for a solution that will allow my GA-Z87X-UD5H to view video from Component and/or HDMI on screen. I usd to be able to do this years ago on PPC macs.

I need to view video on a motorola p/dvr as part of my work to transcribe and video/screen capture.

Any ideas on a way to do this or a video card recommendation?

Slingbox will do the job without too much hassle. You can get an older slingbox online for around $60.

Update:
Even with a fast network, the audio is lagging behind the video just enough to be really annoying

What software do I use to stream the output of the Canopus? I can't seem to locate any software for doing this.

I loved my elgato/mac DVR, too bad it took lightning damage

There is no software - just connect the camera to the input side and the DVR to the output side and start the camera rolling and the DVR recording.
