Hi,
So it has been some time since I last upgraded my mac.
I am currently on Sierra 10.12.1 I was wondering if you could let me know if I would be able to upgrade to Catalina at all.
I am planning on doing a fresh install as I will also be upgrading my SSD from 275 > 1TB.
What would be the easiest guide to follow in order to complete this update?
<<< PC specs are the ones seen there.

Best regards,
Delta

There are no Catalina drivers for your GTX 970.
You could use your processor's integrated HD Graphics 4600 instead.

Thank you for your reply. So basically I either have to upgrade my gpu or the highest upgrade I can do is High Sierra? The only reason beign is that some apps work only with High Sierra or above. =( Will there ever be NVIDIA GPU driver released for mac and pascal/maxwell cards? I've seen a few people upgrade successfully with gtx 1060's? Is that on a case by case basis only?

It looks more and more unlikely.

No you haven't. No drivers mean no acceleration which is hardly a success.

Thank you once again for your reply. Final question, so would I be able to boot without the GTX drivers if using intel graphics, however I run a dual boot machine, so will I be able to disable the nvidia gpu on my mac boot but still use it on my windows boot or do I have to take out the card physically from my desktop? I have my dual boot on two separate SSD's.
