Need help updating my SSD firmware

Hey everyone, my SSD firmware seems to need an update, however, i'm only running Mac OS X and the update is provided in .exe format, not ISO so I can't burn the ISO Image to a bootable disk, is the only solution to this installing Windows on a separate drive and booting from it?

Correct. You could try and create a Windows PE based USB Stick and boot from that one for firmware updating.

An option would be to boot from the original hard drive/ssd. You would need an USB enclosure then. Good to have it anyways for BIOS updates and general testing purposes. Or this case.
