Correct. But it is not installed. It shows itself in ioreg when it is installed correctly.

It is installed now.

No idea on the subwoof... Would no doubt require a custom patched AppleHDA and maybe additional work with various widgets via CodecCommander and hda-verb.

You would need to be familiar with the Intel HDA spec.
