Hi,

I am trying to install Catalina on my Gigabyte P55-UD2 desktop.

Currently I have an old installation (Snow Leopard + Lion + Wwindows10) where Windows 10 is my main OS.

I have remove my HDD (IDE) and replace with an old HDD (IDE/40GB) just to test the install.

But, during install process, my HDD is not recognized by installer (disk tool).

Are IDE/HDD not supported by Catalina?
What is the minimum size needed to install Catalina?

Thanks

I wasn't aware that IDE drives have ever been supported on a Hackintosh; isn't that why you have to change the SATA control mode from IDE to AHCI in the BIOS?

I use an old IDE DVD drive in Mojave without problems.
