Not new to hackingtosh but I need some help with this laptop

4th Generation Intel® Core™ i5-4200U Processor (3M Cache, up to 2.6 GHz)
AMD Radeon™ HD 8870M 2GB GDDR5
8GB 2 DIMM (2x4GB) DDR3L 1600Mhz
North Bridge Intel Haswell
Intel® Wireless-N 7260 BGN + Bluetooth 4.0
Not sure of Audio but I think its ALC - 283

Intel WiFi is not supported you'll need to replace it.

You will probably need to remove the Radeon kexts (ATI*, AMD*).

You will probably need to patch the kernel, see: http://www.tonymacx86.com/mavericks...cked-msrs-hp-envy-15-j063cl-i7-4700mq-19.html

If using Chameleon, use IntelAzulFB=12 GraphicsEnabler=Y dart=0 for successful boot with graphics acceleration.

There is an ALC283 (my Lenovo U430 has the same) patched AppleHDA around if you search for it.

You will need DSDT patches to enable full functionality.


Please provide complete details in your profile.

System: manufacturer/model
CPU: detailed CPU model + motherboard chipset
Graphics: all graphics devices + laptop internal screen resolution

For example, typical Ivy laptop:
System: ProBook 4540s
CPU: i5-3320m/HM76
Graphics: HD4000, 1366x768

Use CPU-Z on Windows to find CPU (Core iX-xxx) and motherboard chipset (HMxx). For a laptop, these details are important and affect critical installation procedures.

I updated my profile with the things you have asked - Do you think its going to be possible and to be honest I never made a DSDT yet I only used community made ones before for main machines,

It is possible. Your profile is missing screen resolution and chipset.
