Hello,

I am planning to buy a HP ProBook and install OS X 10.9.2 for my everyday use.

The model I'm thinking of getting is 4540s (DON68PA)

I am not able to find out what WiFi card this model has. And I'm concerned if the WiFi card will be compatible with OS X.

Help me out fellas ! Thanks :)

you can swap out the wifi card, and buy one that works from ebay or direct from hp.

Thanks for the quick reply!

I am not able to find the specs for that model anywhere. At least if I know what WiFi card it has, I can select the correct option in ProBook Installer right?

There is no option for Wifi card in PBI. If you buy a compatible one, it will just works.

List of recommended cards:

Thanks much :)

Going to buy it then. I'll post on the forum if I have any trouble with the installation.

Btw, general question, is Clover method better than the Unibeast method? I have some prior experience with using Unibeast, so I think I can do the installation comfortably if I use the Unibeast method

clover in my opinion is far better and the way forward..

I am going to order my laptop now. Confused between two models,

1. http://www.snapdeal.com/product/hp-...n=afts&offer_id=16&aff_id=1218&aff_sub=672828

2. http://www.snapdeal.com/product/hp-...n=afts&offer_id=16&aff_id=1218&aff_sub=672825

The difference is that one has B75 Express chipset, and the other has HM76. Both have i3-3110M CPU.
The one with B75 has a 5400rpm hdd, HM76 has 7200rpm.
The description for HM76 laptop says that its trackpad has gesture and multi-touch support. But I guess the other laptop would have it too right?

Which one do you suggest. HM76 one is slightly expensive than B75. Please open the links and give me a suggestion!

I'm no expert but pro book 4X40 with any core i (i3, i5 or i7) series CPU will work. :D

Will 7200rpm be significantly faster than a 5400rpm? If not, I ll get the cheaper one.

And all ProBooks will support 2/3 finger gestures in OS X right?

There are some noticable difference in speed, but I think you should save money and buy an extra SSD later. It's 4 times faster than 7200 rpm HDD.

2-3 gestures will work.
