So Apple has just released the new mac book pro, and they've released a new patch for download. This means a lot to the hackintosh community because it adds support for Ivy Bridge processors, HD4000 graphics and USB 3.0.

With a little bit of luck, I've managed to dissect the package with Pacifist, and extracted IOUSBFamiliy.kext, AppleUSBUHCI.kext and AppleUSBXHCI.kext from it. Then, I replaced the original kexts on my hac. After that, just restart and boom!

For those who don't want to extract the kexts, I have attached the zip for you to use. The zip contains the kexts required to enable native usb 3.0 support.

Sorry, can't help. Anyone? By the way, I found out that despite the fact that it enables usb 3 ports, when a usb 2 device is attached, it cannot be detected. Can anyone help?

*bump*

Anyone can get USB 2.0 devices work?

I don't want to use PXHCD.kext as it prevents sleep. The native USB 3.0 support on Lion seems to be my only alternative, but sadly it doesn't support USB 2.0 devices.
