Hello! I just recently registered to this forum and am now here seeking advice from people who are much smarter than me! I currently have this build:

Case: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133183

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128473

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115076

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102878

Harddrive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148697

Solid State Drive: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820139428

Memory/RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231311

DvD/CD-ROM tray/burner: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827135204

And that's my build. Please let me know if you know of anything that would be better then what I said while remaining the same or lower price, or if there is better compatibility with the mac OS X.

A few things I'd like to say: This is my first ever desktop computer that I will have ever built, and I will have outside help as well. This is just my first place to go.

Now to actually explain my build. The processor is both good (I think) and cheap, and while I'd like to go to an i7, I cannot find one cheap enough. The SSD is mainly to "house" the mac OS X and windows 7 boot files to speed up boot times. The SSD is also the first thing I would drop off. I want the video card mainly because it's cheap and performs well on benchmark tests. Again, if there is something that is better while retaining the price point please tell me.

I just have a few questions.
1. I assume it's still possible to use boot camp with a hackintosh, so I could have mac OS and windows 7?
2. On a hackintosh, are you able to just swap pieces in and out like a regular desktop without incurring a boat load of bugs.

And that's about it. I'm really sorry about the wall of text but PLEASE read and respond. This is so long because I want to be thorough and make sure I don't get anything wrong!
THANKS FOR READING!

EDIT: Updated motherboard to a gigabyte motherboard and updated the RAM with it.

ATI 5830 is not listed in the default supported GPU. So you best select the one that is supported natively like the 5850 model would be better and save you the headache. See the component below.

ATI Radeon HD 5630 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5630 Device ID 0x68D9
ATI Radeon HD 5670 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5730 Device ID 0x68D8
ATI Radeon HD 5770 Device ID 0x68B8
ATI Radeon HD 5850 Device ID 0x6899
ATI Radeon HD 5870 Device ID 0x6898

AMD Radeon HD 6850 Device ID 0x6739
AMD Radeon HD 6870 Device ID 0x6738

Thanks! I really appreciate the help! I looked at all the possible cards and the radeon 5670 is best one within my price range. Do you know of any nVIDIA cards that would be a good substitute that would work well at around the $100 mark? I was thinking the GTX 260, but if there is something if a little more power that'd be great!

Great thanks for advice. :D

Now the motherboard is ok? I didn't see it on the "approved" list for compatibility, but motherboards are also my area of weakness. I have the least experience with motherboards and am not entirely sure how they work. Any suggestions on what I should use there?

gigabyte and ASUS are the most common board in this forum. If you want DSDT pre-edited, then I suggest you use the gigabyte board listed in the link.

Other than that, the ASUS MOBO should work as I have seen a few on the sandy bridge forum and majority of the ASUS contain identical component such as chipset, sound, ethernet etc.....

Is it difficult to edit the DSDT? I guess what I mean to say is, would you rather get one of the gigabyte motherboards over the ASUS one I listed earlier?

Hate to bump this, but I updated a little bit more. I am curious if the parts would still work together. Again, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
