Hi guys,

After many years of contemplating, I've finally started my first Mac Pro build.
I have gutted the case and have purchased both the Mac Pro ATX kit with PSU mount (and deluxe tray) & the Front Panel Conversion Kit from Laser Hive.

I am planning to transfer my current PC into the Mac Pro over the next two weeks.
I have access to a 3D printer and CAD software.
I may have to build a bracket for the front fans and AIO. I have seen others retrofitting the original front fan bracket from he Mac Pro, but I stupidly threw it away, so that's out of the question. If anyone has any already made designs or ideas which might fix my dilemma, that would be fantastic
I'm also thinking of creating a plate which spans between the front fans and motherboard in order to assist (hide) my cable management.

:)

My current PC consists of:
CPU: Ryzen 3700X (Looking for a cheap 5800x3D to upgrade to)
Cooler: NZXT Kraken X62
Mobo: Asus Prime X570-P
RAM: 4x Corsair Vengeace RGB Pro 8GB DDR4 3200 CL16
GPU: Aorus Master 3060Ti
PSU: Corsair RM650
Storage:

  • Seagate Barracuda 2TB 3.5"
  • Seagate Firecuda 2TB 2.5"
  • Crucial MX500 1TB 2.5"
  • Crucial P1 1TB M.2
  • ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB M.2
Fans:
  • 2x Noctua A14 3000PWM (on AIO) 140mm
  • 2x NZXT Aer P 140mm (Originally from Kraken X63)
  • 1x Noctua F12 (Rear)

Alrighty.

I’ve just received my full ATX kit from laserhive.
I tried to mock-place my motherboard tray at the back of the case but it seems as though the original PSU Grill is stopping it from fitting. I’ve tried to unscrew / grind away as many connections I can reach, but it still won’t budge.
How do you remove this thing?
