My first haskintosh for Mac OS Lion

Hi everybody,

I would like to buy hardware to create an hackintosh.
Could you tell me if it's easy to install MacOs Lion on this stuff :

MB : ASUS P8H67 (Rev B3) Socket 1155
CPU : Intel Corei5 2500K
Memory :Kit Dual Channel DDR3 G.Skill Ripjaws X, 2 x 4 Go, PC3-12800, CAS 9
HARDDISK 1 :SSD OCZ Agility 3, 60 Go, SATA III
HardDisk 2 : HDD 3.5 2To 7200 Tr/mins
GC : nvidia 9400 or the Intel card (I don't know for the moment, it's not important for me).
Disk : graveur (burn) DVD LG GH22NS70, Bulk, Blakc

Do you know if it's easy to install with this motherboard (the normal version not the pro, or evo or deluxe). May be I should choose another ASUS MB ?

I read it's easier to use a Gibabyte motherboard. I prefer ASUS, but I could buy theses MB:
Gigabyte GA-Z68AP-D3 (Rev. B3)
Gigabyte GA-Z68P-DS3 (Rev. B3)
Gigabyte Z68MA-D2H (Rev. B3)

Which one it's better ?

This computer it's for photo and video.


Could you give me some advice to increase my stuff.

I'm not sure about the P8H67, but the p8p67s work fine, all of the revisions work like a champ.

Everything else looks fine, but I would go with an ATI card instead of the intel or nvidia. Intel usually doesn't tend to have QE/CI and newer nvidia cards dont have kexts from what I hear. but any of the ati radeon hd 6xxx cards are great.

All Gigabyte boards of the Sandy Bridge variety are supported on this site more than the Asus due to their native power management whereas with Asus, you have to mess with it to get it to work.

It's à z68 chipset, it's not a problem?

I read your post viewtopic.php?f=168&t=32306 it seems easy to install Lion.
I hope the difference between your GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 and my GA-Z68AP-D3 (Rev. B3) it's not a problem.

Could you expand upon that a bit? I'm considering a build with an ASUS board but would like to know what land mines I may be stepping on...
