My First Hackintosh Experiment [Pentium G2030/Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2/Kingston 4GB 1333/Gainward Geforc

Hello everyone.

Its my first time to build a Hackintosh and I wanna try out first on a cheapest build as possible but with a decent specs to gain and harness knowledge in hackintosh for the future that I would build.

so pardon my Ignorance because I'm a newbie but don't worry I can learn new things fast!

so here are the specs

Pentium G2030 3.0Ghz

Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 "REV 3.0 BIOS is F3"

Kingston 4GB 1333Mhz

Gainward Geforce GT430 1GB 128bit GDDR3


Primary HD : Western Digital Blue Caviar 1TB SataSlave/2nd Partition : Western Digital Blue Caviar 500MB Sata
Seagate Barracuda 320GB Sata

HiPro 350Watts PSU


so here we go,

the OS

first things first, can I install Mavericks in this spec? or a lesser OS since my build is not capable of the latest ones?

Currently I don't have a mac yet so what I'm planning is....

1. Buy a Snow Leopard CD then use iboot to Install Snow Leopard then Update to "Mavericks for free?"

1.1 or if not possible, Bought the Mountain Lion? - but the this is I don't have a CD/DVDROM >_<

2. Run a Mac through Virtualization like Virtual box then Bought a Mountain Lion Installer (since they're offering it for $19.99) then create a Unibeast ML USB drive then Install ML then Upgrade to Mavericks if possible?

2.1 or if possible I can buy the Mavericks directly then make a Unibeast Maverics USB drive?


3. if I Bought the Mountain Lion in Appstore, will I get the 1.8.5 ML?

My Board is Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 REV 3.0 BIOS F3

will the Multibeast installation be similar to these ones though thier board is REV 2.2? or different?

My GPU is Gainward GT430 1GB 128bit GDDR3

I've in some sites that its fully working with the NVEnabler64 kext add-ons.

but in here, it said that it works w/o any modification like out of the box. is it true? but this one is in 10.7.3 Lion. will this work in ML or Mavericks?

in here, though this one is Gigabyte GT430, it works in 10.9 seed by,

• Chameleon 2.2 SVN-R2246
• GraphicsEnabler=Yes

I'm trying to install mavericks on an h61m-ds2, but am having difficulty with finding the correct strings. I'm using a GT240 for graphics. Anybody with a good idea?

needs DSDT for this motherboard or not? ( GA-H61M-DS2 rev 3.0 F3)

this board is compaitible .....
and for graphics thing gt 240 or any 2xx series ,,,,u need bootflag GraphicsEnabler=Yes and nothing else
