Multiple GPU's

Hi all, I have a problem that is really annoying to me and I am hoping someone can shed some light on a resolution for me. I am running dual GTX 970's in SLI but whenever I boot my system, card 1 is active on one boot, card 2 is active on the next boot and vice versa. I always have to swap my DP cable in order to see anything on the monitor every time I boot my system. I can see all the way up to after I get past clover then my monitor goes black and flashes until I switch the cable to the other card. It's really annoying and I don't like doing it.

That happened to me when using a 4K monitor. If I use 1440p screens (even 2) it always boots up correctly. I had to get rid of my 4K Dell :\
