Hi
I used iboot to install Snow Leopard and successfully upgraded to 10.6.8
Problem:
I can't boot from hd but only using iboot cd.
I can't understand what I have to use, if EasyBeast or User DSDT.
I tried User without success....
I deleted Extra folder and tried Easy beast without success too...
Where is the mistake?
Thanks for attention and sorry for my english.

Use EasyBeast, as you don't have a patched DSDT.aml for your system.

Why did you delete the Extra folder? What was in the Extra folder?

iBoot contains a number of essential plist's, kexts and drivers, which you are obviously not including in your MulitBeast setup, this is why you can only boot the system with the iBoot disk.

Without seeing what you are using to boot the system, it is difficult to provide any substantive help.

There are a number of old posts that relate to your Asus P5Q3 motherboard running macOS, older versions. These older posts may be helpful when setting up your system.

I created a search for 'Asus P5Q3' and the results are shown in the link below.

Thanks for reply...
As I wrote after the non success of Dsdt I thought to delete the Extra folder ( where the complete packet was) to install Easybeast:
now I have the Extrafolder, Easybeast but nothing new.
I'll read with attention the posts about Asus.
Ps
upgrading directly to Yosemite
(downloaded on Tony's as suggested somewhere in the site) will be the same
Thanks for your patience.

Use the forum search tool to look for Boot0: Error, there is a guide for it.

Greetings
unfortunately I gave up: despite the many links for which I thank you again, the pc starts up again and only with the iboot cd: my inability as an amateur.
Actually I need the "new" mac to load certain programs that don't run on my old Mac Mini and unfortunately not even on Snow Leopard that I have on my macpc.
I tried to create Yosemite installer on usb: it seems to have succeeded. I also loaded Chimera on the stick and on the Yosemite installer I manually inserted in the Library Extensions folder
Fakesmc.kext.
Booting from Yosemite doesn't work with the bios set to Floppy.
Where am I wrong?
Thank you.
