MultiBeast Knocks out NIC [SOLVED]

When I first install OSX 10.8 I have networking on my Intel Gigabit CT PCI-E Network Adapter. After running MultiBeast OSX losses the NIC. I know there is a driver in Multibeast for the intel card but I'm having intermittent problems with that driver related to OpenVPN. I would like to use the driver supplied by Apple.

What are the steps I need to take to reactive Apple's driver/kext?

Thanks..

I have found the solution with a updated driver/Kext.

Fixed Mountain lion issues.

I thought I was the only one in the world with this intermittent / OpenVPN problem.

Thank you hnak!

Had the same problems with Lion. After multibeast my network didn't work anymore. Therefore I had to mod the original Apple kext with the proper ID. After multibeast I installed this modded kext with the kext wizard and voila, my network was working again.
But don't know about vpn. I use it with my router so I can't say.

Thanks for the reply..

If this happens again on the next version of OSX I will try your solution. For now the updated kext from hnak has solved the problem.
The problem was so severe that I just ordered a new Realtek NIC from amazon. Guess I'll have a spare. I would rather use the Intel NIC as I'm able to set jumbo frames with it.
