Multibeast 7, Yosemite, Z77X-UP5-TH Install failure

So, I just did a clean install of yosemite. Works fine booting from the installer USB, but when I try to run multibeast, it fails to install. I must be insane, because I've done this three times and the issue persists.

Gigabyte Z77X-UP5-TH
DSDT-Free Quickstart selected (only, can add the rest later)
Had this problem on an upgrade earlier, and now having it on fresh installs. Downloaded fresh copies of Multibeast just in case. If I try again, it'll fail again, but on the first (SATA) package.

Out of curiosity which version of the UP5TH bios are you running?
 
F11. It worked fine up through Mavericks, so I didn't see a need to bring it up to F12. (Unless there's a good reason to)
 
FWIW, I just used the standalone Chameleon installer, which worked fine. I then manually selected the various customization options from the DSDT-free quick install and ran it, and those installed OK (and took effect).

I tried installing from the .pkg files directly -for FakeSMC and ALC898-, but those also fail individually.

So now I'm to the point where Chameleon is there, but it still won't boot, presumably because of the lack of FakeSMC? (I don't know this stuff well enough to say). The symptom is that it starts to boot, runs through a bunch of kexts, and then the machine reboots.

Obviously, I'd prefer MultiBeast to work for me, but I'll take a working system however I can get it. :)
 
I just tried running multibeast 7.0.1, in the hopes that it would work better, but no such luck. Any hints at all? Anyone?

Your issue is that you are stilling using the old FakeSMC and plugins. You have to remove them and install the latest version before installing any other kexts.

Hi, I've now got the same problem, its never occurred before in 10.8, 10.9 or 10.10 before now. I have a working 10.10 but I cannot run Multibeast anymore.

I see that removing FakeSMC is the option, but how do I do this on Yosemite 10.10 please/

My original problem exists as well. I am (temporarily, hopefully) getting around it by booting from a Uni USB and using a USB sound card, but obviously that's not the preferred method.
