How do we update to Yosemite? Same as any normal OSX update? Just download, install, multibeast? Or should we download 10.10 create a unibeast drive and install from that?

No, running the installer from inside Mavericks will not work, the computer will fail to boot in to the installer to do the file copy process. When I tried it, it did not corrupt my installation fortunately.

I think this kinda depends on how compatible your setup is, but you should use Unibeast to make a USB install from the Yosemite file downloaded from the App store. Boot from the USB and install over your current Mavericks install. If you system is really compatible, then you are probably done. If you have any modified apple kexts, you will need to boot from the usb to your hard drive and reinstall them.

Be sure to backup first.
