Socket 775 Support in Chimera

Chimera 1.0.0 has a known bug with Core2 that causes reboots. We're working on a fix.

Please, if you're having reboots after using the new stuff on Socket 775 hardware, post there, and not in this thread. ;)

I am finding that now that I have installed the Realtek 1689 LAN 2.0.6 driver. That ever other time that i boot up I do not have internet. I did not however have this issue with the latest Lnx2Mac driver. Not to mention I am having issues with Flash in youtube and on my browser, which is then causing my audio to crackle. It seems that my flash is working for a while and then the crackling starts after a short time of running my system

Help with this please

Finally my system boot time has doubled from when I first installed Chimera. Now it takes some time with the boot screen.

I am having issues with the FakeSMC plugins iStat no longer shows the temp for all 4 cores it only shows a single "Incoming Air" temp! These were working previously to using the Multibeast 3.5

Re: MultiBeast 3.5.1 Looks good P8P67 Pro + GTX460

Hi Guys, the new MB is a ripper - good stuff! Did a fresh install via iboot legacy old version (new iboot wouldnt run) used Gordo74 all vanilla methodology for gigabyte in the sandybridge forum (Thanks Gordo) used the usual text with the boot and substituted NV for ATI. CPU, Ram, gxf all correctly ided. Yet to test up turbo boost etc but wrapped, thanks again. :headbang:

The usb3 kext screwed my system up.

I could boot, but it would get as far as the blue, pre-desktop screen and stay displaying that. It wouldn't draw my desktop. it didn't halt the system, there was disk activity.

You REALLY shouldn't put anything in multiboot that installs into S/L/E... or at least set it up so we can see the kext names! Thats very annoying.

I had to boot to another install, use pacifist on your MB package to see the kext, then removed it from S/L/E in my main system.

It works fine after removing that kext.

I don't know, but I can't change the system definition.

kernel:alternative kernel name doesn't seem to work for me. Says: Can't find kernel name whether it's in the root of the chameleon partition or the partition being booted.
[edit] well obviously I'm an idiot and that won't work for anyone.. 8)

for some reason I was up way too late and forgot how to load an alternate kernel. you just type the name of it in the boot prompt for any others with bug eyes from lack of sleep like me. don't write kernel: kernel name like an idiot!
