multibeast 10.4.0 black screen on x58 board

Iv'e just tried a fresh high Sierra 10.13.6 install as part of some wider trouble shooting and have found that the 10.4.0 multibeast leaves me with black screen from my RX560. whereas 10.3.0 works well (many graphics port issues yet that is another thread).

anyone have an idea what I should be looking at here?

Did you install WhateverGreen?

I just made the most basic multibeast install for now, so I shall run it again and add that option ... can you move this thread for me or should I restart it in high Sierra (if needed after whatevergreen, thanks).

GOSH---- not only did that fix the main graphics yet it also gave me post screen from the DVI port, tho that is still black screen once booted (Iv'e never managed to get dvi from this card).

So now I have the card working can anyone explain how to get all of the ports working?
I have read a number of threads on the rx560 yet am probably more confused than before.
