Hi, All

I try a day to upgrade my Hackintosh for 10.9 to 10.10.

The step is the same as I install 10.9 before. You guys can refer to my article here:

http://www.tonymacx86.com/general-help/120848-msi-z87-g45-installing-post-installing.html

But Please do not setup as I wrote in the article above, since thing has been change ( to a good direction) .

For the Post install. You can just you the Easybeast in the Multibeast. Everything will work fine.

Of course, you still need to install some more Kext, including Audio and Ethernet (To my surprise, Yosemite now support the Killer Ethernet, what a great improve), USB 3.0 etc. You can follow my build below in the attachment. Or edit yourself.

I aslo find another useful link for Enabling the HDMI Audio port on the monitor. Please refer to this link:

As you may notice that I did not enable TRIM, because there is new security requirement called Kext signing, which prevent us to use the TRIM feature. Under this security policy, if we modify the SSD Kext, we will end up a stop sign at booting. You can still activate the TRIM feature via bypassing the Kext signing, but it will be a threat for security. That is why I did not enable it. If you guys would like to try, you can refer to this link:

Enjoy!

Teeth,

Do you know if I still have to perform a PMPatch before doing this upgrade? Or can I just jump into installing Yosemite?

My Specs:
i7 4770
MSI G45-Z87
EVGA 770
