Patched BIOS link > http://biosrepo.wordpress.com/msi/

More info about why its done > http://www.tonymacx86.com/dsdt/47397-msi-asrock-foxconn-1155-patched-bios-thread-59.html

Try running the system without a DSDT file. Most of the 7 series motherboards do not need a DSDT unless you want HDMI Audio or activate specific hardware.

Use the below link to extract a DSDT and save it as .dsl format (4th option under File) compress it and attach.

And update your profile with system info.

I agree with MiniITX - - -

You can either flash a modded BIOS **OR** use the patched appleintelcpupowermanagement kext. I'd start with the first - modded bios. Upgrades to OS can replace kext and make your system unusable.

I was having issues with this board MSI Z77A-G45 so I created a DSDT. **BUT** it turns out I was just being intelligence-challenged. I had plugged the CPU fan into the system fan 1 connector. It is the obvious choice, but it's absolutely wrong. The CPU fan connector is at the very top of the board by a blue and black heat sink. The CPU was probably overheating and my machine was freezing up under load. The DSDT I created is not required.
