have you had any luck on getting os x on this system as i'm currently trying to install 10.11 onto a system with a msi x99a sli motherboard and keep getting this every time i try to install

sxAptioFixDrv: Starting overrides for System\Library\CoreServices\Boot.efi
Using reloc block:no, hibernate wake: no
Error allocating 0x12151 pages at 0x0000000019165000 alloc type 2
Couldn't allocate runtime area
Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting...

I kept getting this, too. Using an AMD HD5770 GPU to install with cured it. Haven't had a bit of problems since. Once installed, moved the HD5770 to PCIe slot 3, Installed GTX980, boot with display connected to HD5770, installed web drivers for GTX980, switched OS X preferences to the GPU, shut down and remove the HD5770, reboot with the displays connected to the GTX980.

so the problem could be trying to install with a 980 installed?

also im getting no where i've spent all day trying to install either 10.10 or 10.11 but neither of them will work my motherboard doesn't help as no one has really documented the install method for it

try with boot-args

-v npci=0x2000 nv_disable=1 cpus=1 maxmem=4096

do you have the VoodooTSCSync kext in your EFI/Clover/kexts.10.10 and or 10.11 folder? This kext is needed for X99 boards.
